Well, it’s free internet not free facilities. You have to pay airport tax anyway.
Anyway, I got home from Taiwan yesterday. The plane landed at Changi airport at about 11:10pm yesterday. So what did I do in Taiwan?

Day1
Well, we landed in Taipei airport (or whatever airport it’s called) at about 5pm and it’s already dark. Singapore’s airport’s still the best. It’s the only airport that I’ve been to that you can shop at, and have free internet facilities and other facilities. Anyway, we landed at the airport and got to the hotel we’re staying at by bus. After putting our stuff in our room, we went for dinner at some steamboat restaurant nearby. Ximen elementary school is near our hotel. Some kids had painted pictures around the wall. Erm…. They’re quite nice for elementary students I guess. It’s colder in the restaurant than it was outside. I guess it’s because they still had their aircon on. After dinner we went back to the hotel to watch TV. Taiwan reality shows are quite nice. So this episode is about who looks most like a ghost. You know, those long-haired ones who appears in Japanese horror movies. So this girl who claims that she can see ghosts tells us some stuff you should do before entering a hotel room.

Knock on the door before entering so that “they” will know that someone is going to move in.
Walk on one side of the doorway so that you won’t bump into “them”
Pull out the blankets
Fill the bathtub with some water.
So we (me and my sister) got quite scared, as the only thing we did is to knock on the door before entering the room. For all we know, we might have bumped into “them” and we didn’t know. We went to sleep anyway. And I was so scared that I was cold. I fell asleep anyway. And woke up in the middle of the night. I can’t fall asleep after that as I’m not used to sleeping in the same room as my father and he snores.

Also, porn channels on the TV are not sensored. My sister told me this. She said she was flipping through the channels when she saw… oh never mind.

Let’s skip to Day 4 cuz I’m too lazy.
Day 4
The second last day. We went to Beitou. Many hot springs are located there. We went to one hot springs hotel and asked about the price and found out that we can’t wear anything when we’re in the springs. So we went to another, where you were allowed to wear swimsuits. (we brought our swimsuits along, thank goodness) After getting out of the springs I felt itchy. Probably cuz of the sulphur. The water is HOT. And the showers you have to undergo before going into the spring was way, way cold. Almost as cold as the water in my fridge. I didn’t dare to shower thoroughly so the only things that got wet are my hands.

I forgot to mention, they have fruits basket in Taiwan too! When I saw the advertisement, I was like, this guy looks like Yuki. Then Kyou came into the picture, then Tohru, and then I was like, this IS fruits basket. 6:30 pm on sci channel. We were too busy going out exploring to watch it though. L

Day 5
The last day. In the morning we went to this temple, then back to Ximen. I and my sister took neoprints at a neoprint shop there. I might scan it in later. The picture quality is not that great but the designs are nice though.

In the evening we went back to Singapore. And that’s why I’m here now.
