issues with art. for one, how'm i supposed to score for a topic which i came up with in like, a few minutes? i rmb the first time i came up with it... within 20 mins, i had to pick a topic, and draw a mindmap on everything i know about the topic. little did i know that i'll be stuck with it for the rest of two year. WTHELL!!! nightmare man....

i rmb for O lvl art, i had like a few days or wks to think abt it... it changed from under the sea to seashells to insects to spiders... lol, fickle i guess. then it developed from superheroes to villians, so i had to design clothing for villians based on the theme of 'spiders' ... and slowly it developed to sexy motorcyclist girls, lol. then comes the designing of helmets... motorcycles... and v skin-revealing suits that are impossible to wear in real-life, like all the anime ppl, haha! (look at meer's skirt, it floats. =.=) and i was pretty enthu abt it, though yeah. the same story of laziness, rushing designs the night before art lessons... and copic marker colouring...

but at least i had a cool theme!!! :( and copic markers rock!!!

i have a little story for each of the girls in my coursework, though of course i dont have to include it in my artist statement, haha. it's just, personal... and quite anime-like :DD

i rmb in the early days of my coursework, when my theme is still 'insects', i spent every art lesson for weeks shading the same stupid caterpillar cuz i didnt spend any of my free time doing anything else, haha. i think my sec sch drawings are nicer than my jc ones leh... cuz we had like 2 hr art sessions and we spend like nearly the whole time drawing... so much drawing, of course will improve la. whereas in jc you can't do much sai during 1 hr, plus the equipment in yj sucked. only got faber castell colour pencils. economy la, they all.

kinda miss it... all of us suffering together.... dancing halfway in the middle of coursework... haha. AND COPIC MARKERS!! 5 dollar each! 300 dollar box of colour pencils!!

AHHHH!!!!!

and i rmb how we are allowed to anyhow go shopping for markers or recommend art books, so long we give the markers to the sch and show the receipt we'll get refunded or smth. and how ms jou wld shop for markers for us, asking us what we need first... and we could anyhow say what markers we need and she'll get it... and how we didnt need to pay for broken equipment in the science labs! haaai.... :(

sucks to be from a poor sch la. what a big diff. i need to do my mockup now... but i realise i have to like pay for the materials myself? wth... i need a packet of dominoes la... do i have to go toys'r us and buy them myself or smth? what if i destroy them? do i use my own money to buy another packet again???

i realise what i'm trying to do now is to bend myself to fit other ppl's style, cheem cheem paintings w deep meaning is like, just not my style...
